Bell IT 2000 Ltd is an IT and telecom consultancy that began in 1999.
Summary of my role:
Design and development of various projects using Microsoft technologies and/or open
source software: MS Windows, MS Office, MS Access, MS SQL Server, Linux,
Apache, Firebird, PHP, MySQL and other standards like HTML, CSS, JavaScript,
PDF. When needed investigate and help to prepare quotations (for software
projects) technically. Design databases. Liaise with clients. Report progress
to the director. Train colleague and allocate work. Prepare, import,
export data when required. Write manuals. Train clients or assist training.
Take usually help desk calls for software written; support and maintain
usually remotely.

SIPS: The Share Plan Administration Software
Tools: MS Access, VBA, SQL, Reports
Administering employee share incentive plans (SIP), importing employee data,
setting up "SIP"s for holding companies and trustees, inviting subsidiary
companies and employees, printing agreement forms, keeping track of
performance criteria, cash accumulations, share allocations under statutory
limits, withdrawals, forfeiture of shares, dividend distributions, printing
certificates of awards of shares, tax vouchers, annual reports to Inland
Revenue; briefly all cash and share transactions and generating all related
reports. The latest version also includes automatic emailing of all
agreements and certificates to the employees as PDF attachments. Bell IT 2000
Ltd worked with ESS (Consultants) Ltd in
this project. The director of ESS is a sophisticated man who has over 30
years of experience. So, I liaised with him and tried to accomplish the
software design process. ESS is marketing SIPS.

Web-based share option plans management
LocumTrack for Desktop: Locum Recruitment Application
Tools: MS Access, VBA, SQL, Reports
Hospital records, vacancies (with requirements: skills, qualifications, etc.), locum
records are kept. Matching is done quickly according to their skills,
location preferences, CRB checks, etc. Detailed time sheets are saved, and
locum payrolls and invoices to clients are created automatically. The
database includes supplier invoices and payments, nominal codes, tax year
related information. Many reports could be printed easily; e.g. list of
filled/unfilled vacancies, financial statement, VAT return.

information. Similar to the desktop version, LocumTrack is designed for the net aimed to be user
friendly, to speed up recruitment process efficient and to be platform
independent. It has been improved a lot on the user interface and added more
modules: letter templates with mail merge features, timesheets, payroll
management, invoicing, CSV export, document attachment module, critical
documents expiry reminders, personal reminders, message board, contact
management module.

CourierTrack: Courier Management Application
Tools: Apache, PHP5, Firebird SQL Server, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PDF
Web-based courier management software with automatic invoice creation, PDF print-outs,
batch emailing invoices as PDF attachments, issuing credit notes, tracking
unpaid invoices, balances, etc.
CleanTrack: Cleaning Management Application
Tools: Apache, PHP 5, Firebird SQL Server, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PDF
Web-based cleaning management software with a nice quotation system (including creation
of quotation letters in PDF with enclosure documents, help on job
specifications, pay rates and charge rates, job frequencies), tracking and
allocation of cleaners, preparing job sheets, integrated personal and central
calendars, and many reports in PDF format.

* Management of contracts, inventory and cheques (3 Access databases for pawn brokers)
* Quotation tracking system with profit and loss analysis (Access)
* e-Newsletter generator (Access)
* Outlook templates
* Word macros
* Maintenance of various websites of clients.
